Senior Test And Evaluation Engineer JHNA is seeking a talented Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer to support our Mission Systems Team within the Technology Development Directorate for Army Aviation at Ft. Eustis, VA. The ideal candidate will be able to immediately exercise initiative in planning and executing virtual and live flight testing to ensure mission accomplishment in support our Army Aviation client on Intelligent Teaming Science and Technology Program Initiatives. This role will require up to 30% travel to CONUS/OCONUS Testing Sites. Roles/Responsibilities: As a member of a Science and Technology development team overseeing maturation of candidate manned and unmanned aviation teaming technologies: Work as part of a diverse team of contractor, military, and civilian engineers and aviators leading and exercising initiative to plan tests and demos, conduct coordination across command lines, prepare test/demo sites and execute ground and flight testing and demonstration of unmanned aerial systems, software and payload technologies. Performs duties as a hands-on test and evaluation engineer leading tests and demonstrations of Aviation manned and unmanned systems at test sites located throughout the United States. Provides expertise in support of developing element level scenario development, test design, test planning, and/or test execution during all phases of the Flight Test CONOPS Lead the development of required processes and SOP's regarding UAS Training and Standardization. Capable of analyzing and integrating complex data, drawing reasonable and logical system-level conclusions, and developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums and capable of establishing and optimizing priorities and managing planning and readiness activities of MDS test events IAW approved Test issuances (e.g., CONOPS) Prepare and staff pre-test documentation (test plans, test readiness reviews, safety reviews) for approval. Coordinate with other test agencies and stakeholder commands; contribute to control and safety of the conduct of on-site testing at designated test ranges Understands and able to address airworthiness qualification for test and demo. Monitor in-flight test activities, via real-time telemetry systems to determine path to complete test and achieve test objective completion. Perform in-depth engineering data reduction and analysis. Write comprehensive test reports to provide usable, accurate, and readily interpretable results. Prepare/deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives and leadership. Qualifications Required: Must be a U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain at least a DoD issued Secret Clearance Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university Willingness to travel to government/DOD Test Sites up to 30 % of the time 7-10 years' experience in the test, evaluation and integration of hardware and software-intensive military manned and unmanned aviation mission systems. Extensive experience with DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs
