We manage the entire process from concept through engineering through installation and provide ongoing O&M support. Summary Duties: The PSG Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, coordinating, and supervising multiple projects of the company with support from the management team. Provide optimal customer service, and to ensure productive and profitable operations. Establish and maintain overall control and discipline of projects. Primary job duties and responsibilities: Manage multiple renewable energy projects in different phases of construction at one time. Coordinate with development and engineering to develop preliminary budgets and estimate projects. Provide project progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required. Conduct site visits for sales team or design engineer to evaluate buildability, electrical or structural requirements, and customer requirements for cost impact. Develop renewable energy projects, simultaneously managing land development and permitting, interconnection, and timelines. Create full project development schedules and construction and interconnection schedules, to establish reasonable and achievable construction start dates. Serve as technical and coordination lead during project development, assist supporting staff during all phases of engineering, procurement, and construction to include providing technical support for the projects. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, safety and quality. Support other operations team members with site, subcontractor and customer communication / coordination. Maintain/oversee daily field operations; support staff and manage project costs. Coordination of installation schedules; management of lower tier vendors to ensure on time completion. Coordination of permitting for projects, team building, customer management, stakeholder management, and commissioning Technical Knowledge/Experience: Familiar or an understanding of the following areas: Project management and development from sale to commissioning of commercial solar projects. Renewable Energy related projects preferred with a focus on Solar and Electrical field experience Combine Technical experience with Project Management skills to fit the role. Construction and supply contracts Project budgets and financial models Able to establish and maintain good relations with clients Solid technical background of solar systems and/or components This includes photovoltaic modules, racking or tracking systems, inverters, balance-of-system (AC and DC), transformers, switchgear Fundamental Qualifications: Fluent in MS Office products including MS Project Capable of travelling to sites all around the Midwest and performing site visits. Proven track record of excellent/productive written skills for report preparation Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations and emails. Organization skills Must be comfortable with the technical aspects of the job as well as business and client interactions. Must be able to read construction plans including electrical and structural to review stakeholders. Must have Project management skills and be a supportive team member, able to work in a collaborative environment as well as work on self-directed independent projects. Must be self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience is required Renewable energy & electrical experience is a plus Other Requirements: Valid driver's license, evidence of insurability and a clean driving record. This is a physical / construction type of position. It will require but not be limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling. This position will also require being up on ladders and lifting. Full Time. Daily travel to job sites, generally in the state of Indiana (but not limited to).
