Purpose Manage the development, coordination, execution, and publication of the Enterprise-wide sanctions risk backssments and work with stakeholders across Scotiabank, as necessary, to assist with tracking and remediating issues identified through the sanctions risk backssment process. In this capacity, the Senior Manager, Global Sanctions Risk & Coverage backssment, will be responsible for executing the sanctions risk backssment methodology, including the coordination with stakeholders across the various business lines and legal entities, to deliver a comprehensive sanctions risk backssment that identifies and considers the various inherent and residual risks as outlined in the methodology. As part of the risk backssment process, the role will also include the preparation and distribution of the sanctions risk backssment report in accordance to Scotiabank’s framework and methodology. Additionally, the role may require the Senior Manager to assist with regional Sanctions Risk backssments. Accountabilities Execute, on a scheduled basis, a quantitative and qualitative backssment of Scotiabank’s sanctions risk, through an backssment of its inherent risks and control environment, and produce appropriate reporting to executive management and external stakeholders on the residual sanctions risk of Scotiabank. In doing so, duties will include: Coordinating the strategy and governance for the execution of the sanctions risk backssment process, in conformity with the requirements of the Risk backssment Methodology; Sourcing inherent risk data inputs from appropriate stakeholders, including business lines and other relevant functions; Working with various Data Governance groups to execute appropriate queries and data measurement for inputs into the inherent risk calculus; Developing, and coordinating the completion of, risk backssment.
