Practice Area: Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney with at least 4 years of experience in immigration law. The ideal candidate will manage their caseload, provide strategic immigration solutions, and represent clients in removal proceedings and immigration applications. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. Duties:Report to the Senior Associate Attorney and manage a caseload of immigration mattersProvide strategic immigration advice and solutions to clientsRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsConduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centersPrepare and file diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changesConduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients and develop necessary legal strategiesPrepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis to clients regarding potential case benefitsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration casesUtilize case management software for efficient case handling Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in TexasMinimum of 4 years of experience in immigration lawFluency in Spanish preferredStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a teamRecord of managing a caseload and moving legal cases forwardExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsFamiliarity with case management software is advantageous Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Active license to practice law in Texas Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to explain complex immigration concepts clearlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesClient-focused with a commitment to providing excellent legal servicesProficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools Benefits Offered:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) planCatered lunches, complimentary parking, and other perksPaid time off and additional benefits
