Practice Area: Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a seasoned Senior Immigration Attorney with 5-8 years of experience to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the Managing Immigration Attorney, the candidate will manage a caseload, provide strategic solutions, and collaborate with the Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. The role requires proficiency in immigration law, exceptional client communication skills, and a track record of successfully handling diverse immigration cases. Duties:Explain immigration concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Efficiently manage a workload of immigration cases.Conduct intakes and consultations with detained individuals at centers.Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategies.Develop comprehensive strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.Provide thorough legal analysis to identify potential case benefits.Prepare and submit persuasive legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases. Requirements:5-8 years of Immigration Law Experience.Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred. Education:Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active Bar admission. Skills:Advanced understanding of immigration law and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
