Senior Immigration Attorney

Practice Area: Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney. The attorney will report to the Immigration Team, managing a caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with the team of attorneys and legal assistants. They will provide legal counsel, represent clients in removal proceedings, prepare immigration applications, and develop strategic solutions. Duties:Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage workload of cases and conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategy.Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.Provide legal analysis for clients to determine possible case benefits.Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases. Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of previous immigration law experience.Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.Proven record of moving legal cases forward and ability to manage a caseload.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Experience with Case Management Software preferred.Preferably bilingual in Spanish. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar (California preferred). Skills:Strong knowledge of immigration law and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
