We are presently accepting resumes for a 1-year contract full-time Senior Financial Analyst. This position will be responsible for the preparation of financial reporting for the Board and funders of the Agency, financial analysis, projection and budget preparation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating financial projects to create efficiencies for the Finance department and across the Agency. Compensation package: Work up to 37.5 hours per week ; Minimum starting rate of pay is $37.86 per hour ; Employer paid confidential EAP program for you and your family members; Minimum requirements for this position include: A post-secondary degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting or a related field. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CA/CMA/CGA) or enrolment in the program is an asset; Minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably in a non-profit sector; Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills combined with ethical judgement; Strong leadership and project management skills; Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with other departments and agencies to facilitate continuous development of effective financial supports; Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Not for Profit Accounting Standards, financial software and Excel. Special factors: A demonstrated commitment to customer service; Ability to analyze procedural and system problems and make effective recommendations; Ability to organize and prioritize.
