This individual will be pivotal in representing clients in complex wage and hour matters, developing case strategies, and drafting critical legal documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment class actions, superior analytical abilities, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionDuties:Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.Take and defend depositions.Develop and form arguments and represent clients in wage and hour matters.Negotiate settlements and advise clients on legal matters.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulations.Requirements:Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment class action litigation.Superior analytical and legal research skills.Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to exercise common sense and sound judgment in complex situations.High level of adaptability and meticulous attention to detail.Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership with the California State Bar.Skills:Strong legal writing and drafting skills.Effective case management and organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative legal strategies.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Job LocationOakland, CABenefits OfferedGenerous bonus structure.Paid time off and paid holidays.Opportunities for growth and advancement.Team outings and sponsored events.Referral bonus program.Firm-paid Medical, Dental Vision HMO with low-cost upgrades.Paid Life and ADD insurance.401k retirement plan.FSA (Flexible Spending Account).EAP (Employee Assistance Program).Pet insurance.
