Position: Senior Copywriter Work location: 101 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94111 United States Wage: $129,600 - $175,000 / per year* Job Duties: Originate and prepare written material, such as scripts, stories, advertisements, and other material. Develop advertising campaigns for Chime to determine the best way to present advertising information. Work closely with the design, brand, and marketing teams to establish and evangelize a consistent brand voice. Create language to humanize finance and excite potential new members while collaborating across functions, including marketing design, product design, user research, content strategy, social & lifestyle marketing, compliance, and others. Build upon our existing brand to ensure more cohesive, consistent operations with greater velocity. Help set the gold standard for brand and content execution and establish a vision for the future of Chimes brand and voice marketing strategy. Responsible for creating and evolving Chimes tone and voice guidelines to empower teams across the company. Craft short, concise ad copy that both inspires and explains, cautiously balancing and highlighting different nuances of the brand voice per channel audience. Utilize research, data, and testing to validate assumptions and optimize copy for performance and growth. Navigate the complexities of a highly regulated industry and compliance initiatives with solutions and iterations. Document copy decisions for cross-functional use and build alignment. Work closely and collaboratively with the design team to concept and create compelling, holistic, campaigns. Present to, collaborate with, and influence marketing, growth, research, and product teams. Telecommuting is permitted. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a copywriting-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills: 1) advertising copywriting; 2) lifecycle copywriting; 3) product copywriting; 4) social media copy; 5) video scripts. *The starting base salary range for this role is reflected above.
