POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for direct supervision, training, and productivity of coding and billing staff members. Assists in coordination of coder audit program and development of productivity standards. Provides audit feedback and training. Daily management of the production coding workflow to monitor coding team coding and billing turnaround times. Supports revenue integrity oversight committee development of annual coding and billing compliance work plan and ongoing monitoring and compliance education. What you will be doing: Recruits, trains, and monitors performance of coding and billing staff. Develops job standards for coding and billing staff. Develops and monitors production coding and revenue integrity team key performance indicators for turnaround times, production and accuracy. Provides updates on payer guidelines and implements work flows to minimize payer coding related denials. Participates on Revenue Integrity Oversight Committee to develop annual coding and billing compliance work plan, assure ongoing adherence to coding and compliance policies and procedures. What you will bring to the Team: Five or more years in coding management within a medical group. CPC or AHIMA coding certificate required. Bachelor's Degree in health administration, Health Information Management or related field strongly preferred. Experience in procedurally oriented specialties like Urology, Gastroenterology, Pathology and Radiation Oncology strongly preferred. Experience with electronic medical record and practice management systems. Basic computer skills (Office suite, etc.) .
