The Care Team The care you deserve and the support you need. Join a team that cares! The Care Team Home Health & Hospice is looking for a Senior Accountant. Our Life Balanced Operating hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for financial statement preparations and consolidation. * Responsible for full cycle accounting entries, including Revenue, Payroll, Cash, and accruals * Analyze Financial Statements for discrepancies and alert Controller if necessary * Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial statements. * Leads year end financial audit, including review of work papers and reconciliations * Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. * Coordinates with NetSuite vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software. * Provides guidance or training to accounts payable clerks and staff accountant * Provides recommendations of process improvements to mitigate audit risk and create efficiencies * Review and follow-up on expense items that are outside of budget or appear unusual. * Assist Controller in preparation of annual reports, including 1099's, Personal Property Statements, Sales and use tax Reporting and others as required. * Participate in Month End close meetings with Clinical Operation Leaders to interpret financial results * Collaboration across multiple departments to improve financial reporting * Assists controller and Vice President of Finance in Budget Preparation * Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in accounting Required, or related field required * Minimum of 5 years with progressively responsible experience required. Skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent organization skills and attention to detail * Efficient in Financial Accounting and Cash Accounting * Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. * Experience with external audit processes * Experience with NetSuite preferred. * Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
