Senior Accountant

Bob Barker Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review financial results, ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports, and develop and communicate financial insights. This position requires the ability to collaborate across the organization and will be involved with initiatives outside the Finance team. Responsibilities * Coordinate month-end close activities and G/L reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. * Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and supplementary reports, reviewing them for accuracy, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. * Spearhead the Year-End Audit preparation, collaborating with external auditors and internal teams to ensure compliance and accuracy. * Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency. * Develop and present budget reports. * Provide advanced financial analysis and support for miscellaneous reports, ensuring data integrity and relevance. * Partner with the Finance & Accounting Manager to support high impact projects and initiatives across the organization. Requirements * Extensive experience in general ledger management, month-end close processes, account reconciliation, and the preparation of internal financial statements. * Demonstrated expertise in budget development and oversight, with substantial exposure to year-end audit schedules. * Extensive financial reporting experience at a medium or large corporation. * Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles to financial transactions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with integrated financial software. * Superior communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Education/Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. * Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. * At least seven years of relevant work experience, with a track record of progressively responsible roles in finance or accounting.
