JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Account Executive, Health Public Relations at Calcium+Company Job Summary As a Senior Account Executive (SAE) in PR, your focus will be on day-to-day account management and playing a role in developing client relationships. You will work as part of a team and independently on several client projects. An SAE demonstrates and contributes strategic and critical thinking to accounts, as well as mentors, supervises, and develops PR skills for junior staff, apprentices, and interns. You will also be required to understand and apply your knowledge to the overall goals and strategies of our clients and agency’s business. In some cases, depending on the project, your work might require performing some of the functions of the roles above and below and SAE. Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following) Act as one of the day-to-day client contacts: managing projects, building relationships, and demonstrating value as a resource Research, write, and edit a wide range of written materials such as presentations, press materials, social media content, and HCP/patient collateral Fully know the clients’ business and communications objectives and apply them to daily work Develop and/or manage social and digital media content projects Participate in client meetings, virtual and in-person Conduct media relations that create favorable coverage, incorporating clients’ messages Has a basic understanding of FDA, pharmaceutical and biotechnology communications rules and compliance regulations Has a basic grasp of the steps involved in bringing an investigational compound or device to commercialization, and/or communications for a marketed brand Use project management skills to coordinate and implement events such as press outreach, media briefings, analyst meetings, media tours and third-party advocacy as needed Manages project budgets and client and Calcium+Company billing process, in collaboration with agency finance team Oversee execution of projects working with the team, agency resources, and outside partners/vendors—on time and on budget Contributes to new business research and campaign activation development Actively participate in division and agency brainstorms Collaboration with Calcium+Company divisions Helps to mentor and coordinate the work of junior staff Participate in CAL-U learning opportunities and courses, as appropriate Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be able to commute 2x a week to one of our offices in New York City or Philadelphia Consistently strong writing, research, and organizational skills Demonstrates interest and enthusiasm by going the extra mile for clients and your team Fully know the client’s business and communications objectives Assumes personal responsibility as point person for projects—coordinates and follows-up to ensure completion of projects Ability to think critically and strategically Highly collaborative; can work as a team player and independently Ability to be agile and adjust priorities based on agency and client needs Entrepreneurial spirit, passion, and intellectual curiosity About Calcium+Company Calcium+Company is an award-winning health communications group dedicated to nourishing companies and brands across their full lifecycle.
