Practice Area: Litigation - Securities Litigation - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking a Securities Litigation and Enforcement Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in securities litigation and enforcement, with preferred prior experience in handling SEC enforcement, securities-related class action suits, corporate governance, and/or FINRA matters. The successful candidate must possess first-rate litigation, critical thinking, research, e-discovery, and writing skills. The role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, in an environment where creativity, drive, and client service are highly valued.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and handle securities litigation and enforcement matters, including SEC enforcement actions, securities-related class action suits, and FINRA proceedings.Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft detailed legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Develop and execute litigation strategies and case management plans.Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings, including presenting arguments and managing trial procedures.Oversee and manage e-discovery processes, ensuring the effective and accurate collection, review, and production of electronic evidence.Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance issues and securities regulation compliance.Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties, maintaining clear and consistent communication.Analyze complex legal issues related to securities law and construct persuasive arguments in support of clients' interests.Requirements:2-5 years of experience in securities litigation and enforcement.Preferred experience with SEC enforcement, securities-related class action suits, corporate governance, and/or FINRA matters.Demonstrated capability to handle complex litigation and enforcement matters effectively.Excellent litigation, critical thinking, research, e-discovery, and writing skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Strong commitment to client service and innovative problem-solving.Education:JD degree from an accredited law school.Strong academic record with evidence of academic excellence.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in New York.Skills:Expertise in securities litigation and enforcement.Proficiency in legal research, e-discovery, and drafting of legal documents.Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
