School-Based Therapist/Counselor for various Lehigh Valley Schools our practice contracts with.Part time with potential for full time during school hours.Job Summary: Pathways For Change, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Therapist/Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide mental health support, counseling, and therapeutic services to identified students, helping them overcome personal, social, and academic challenges. The therapist/counselor will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive environment that fosters student well-being and success.Key Responsibilities: Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues.Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and administrators to create comprehensive support plans for students.Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes through our practice EHR, Therapy Notes.Referral Services: Coordinate with external community resources to ensure students receive additional support when needed as indicatedProfessional Development:Stay current with best practices in school counseling and mental health through ongoing education and training.Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LMFTExperience: Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting is preferred.Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents. - Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution. - Knowledge of child and adolescent development. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Preferred Qualifications: Experience: At least two years of experience in a school-based or educational setting.Specialized Training: Training in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.Environment: School-based setting with interaction with students, parents, teachers, and school administrators.Hours: Typically during school hours, with occasional evenings for parent either in person or via telehealth.**This is a W-2 position with a very competitive hourly rate**Powered by JazzHR
