You have come to the right place. GA Foods is seeking to hire a Route Delivery Driver. If you have a valid NJ driver's license with a good driving record and want to make a difference in peoples' lives, this is the job for you! Our Route Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering ready-made, hot, and/or frozen/shelf-stable meals to senior citizens and other at-risk populations, according to the assigned route. Route Delivery Driver Essential Functions: Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes in a timely and accurate manner Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly Maintain driver scorecard Check vehicle fluid levels and perform a general routine inspection of the vehicle to ensure all is in working order Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components, and/or supplies as required Maintain communications with Customer Service Recordkeeping as required Participate in all required company training May drive up to 16' Box truck or smaller commercial vehicle If delivering to sites, would push/pull medium warmers on wheels up to 320 lbs., larger warmers up to 370 lbs depending on the route Lift, carry and deliver coolers weighing up to 40 lbs depending on the route If delivered to customer homes, would lift and carry generally 1-2 boxes weighing up to 15 lbs each May have access to confidential information as necessary to perform job functions, and as such, is required to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned by management Experience driving in the NJ/NY area is a plus! Route Delivery Driver Qualifications: Prior three (3) years route delivery experience preferred Good Communication and Customer Service Skills Familiar with GPS and Tablet Technologies General Office Equipment Able to meet employer's attendance standard Able to follow work rules and policies and procedures Current ServSafe Food Safety Certification Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check (required) Physical Demands: Under 1/3 Standing time Walk, Climb or balance Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl Taste or smell 1/3 to 2/3 Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms Over 2/3: Sit, See, Talk or hear Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs Diversity and Inclusion: We believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to GA Foods.
