3 - 12 hour shifts0800-2030Weekend and Holiday call required:Approximately1 holiday call per year8 Saturday/Sunday call per yearOverview: -Same Day Surgery/Pre Procedural and Phase II is a fast-paced department providing care to pre- and post-op patients providing care and comfort throughout the patient's stay. - We work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and other healthcare workers to provide patient care. - We monitor vitals and lab results and report abnormalities to our physicians - promptly. - SDS nurses must be proficient with their IV skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Critical thinking and communication skills are also essential. - SDS nurses educate patients on pre and post op care. - The shifts vary allowing flexibility and work life balance.Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. -We Offer Great Benefits:Day-one comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement and employer-matched retirement funds are just a few of the great benefits offered to eligible co-workers, including those working 32 hours or more per pay period!We're bringing to life a healing ministry through compassionate care.At Mercy, our supportive community will be behind you every step of your day, especially the tough ones.
