Registered Nurse (RN) Health Care Facility SurveyorWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Health Care Facility Surveyor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with federal regulations in healthcare facilities across the nation.Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to assess compliance with federal regulations. Prepare for surveys by reviewing relevant documentation and information. Evaluate various aspects of healthcare facilities, including quality of care, residents' rights, and physical plant conditions. Observe care delivery, review records, and conduct interviews with staff and families to gather comprehensive information. Communicate identified non-compliance issues with facility personnel throughout the survey and during the exit conference. Determine the acceptability of the facility's plan of correction for identified deficiencies. Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to ensure that corrective actions have been effectively implemented. Assist with facility and bureau training, and participate in work groups as needed.Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Successful completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT). At least two years of recent experience working as a surveyor, accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, set priorities, and manage survey processes effectively. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance, retirement plan with employer match, and more.
