Shift: Evening (2:00pm to 10:30pm) Charge Nurse(RN) responsibilities: Displayan attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff. Functionas a team member with other staff in performance of duties. Managemedications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures. Administermedications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response. Implementindividual plan of care for resident and monitors staff providing care. Notify nurse manager, attending physician, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary. Orderlab, x-ray, ambulance, and other services as necessary. Receive, transcribes, and carries out physician's orders. Participatein direct resident care as needed. Admit, transfer, and dischargeresidents according to procedures. Monitornursing personnel on duty during the assigned shift. Perform additional tasks as requested. Charge Nurse (RN) skills and requirements: Current MN Registered Nurse (RN) Licenserequired. Must have strong nursing and leadership skills. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions. Excellent customer service skills. Takes pride in delivering quality outcomes and services to our residents.
