Position Overview: Join our team as a Retirement Services Direct Support Professional, where you'll play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to retirees within our retirement services program. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about ensuring the well-being and comfort of our retired residents during their leisure time. Key Responsibilities: Provide supervision, assistance, and support to retirees with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and respond to any medical or behavioral needs following established protocols, demonstrating proficiency in crisis intervention when necessary. Promote a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging social interaction, participation in leisure activities, and providing emotional support to retirees. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and advocate for the well-being and rights of retirees. Maintain accurate documentation of resident care, incidents, and interventions, demonstrating strong attention to detail and adherence to reporting procedures. Previous experience working with individuals with IDD or in a similar caregiving role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to remain calm, patient, and compassionate in challenging situations, demonstrating proficiency in behavioral support and crisis intervention. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, including medication administration if applicable. Current Shift Openings: M-f 7am-3pm Sun (8a-8p) M-Th 2:30pm-9pm Tues-Fri 2:30pm-9pm Sat (8a-8p) Various Part-time shifts Benefits: $600-$2,000 Hiring Bonus! Weekend pay differentials.
