The Wythe Lab at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA is currently seeking multiple research technicians to join the team to decipher the molecular mechanisms underlying the basis of vascular malformations and cardiovascular disease, with a focus on studying the vasculature in the brain in the contexts of brain arteriovenous malformations, glioma, and CADASIL. The technician will be self started, motivated to learn new techniques, organized, work well in a team environment, and possess excellent organizational skills and a good understanding of basic molecular biology or biochemistry. Additionally if the applicant has experience working with cell culture models, zebrafish, or mice it will be a bonus. This Research Technician position is ideal for recently graduated seniors looking to take a year or two off before medical school or graduate school that would like to publish papers and get extensive research experience. Experienced technicians will find an environment where they can take the lead on one or multiple projects, rather than functioning solely in a support role.
