REGISTERED NURSE Specialty and General “We encourage Military Veterans and Military Spouses to apply" SITE OF SERVICE: · On-site at Atlanta VA Health Care System (AVAHCS) 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033 and surrounding VA clinics · Full Time (52 Weeks) POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: · Education : Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelors Degree in Nursing. · Accreditation : Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). · Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. · Cardiac Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart Association · Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- (Preferred depending on specialty) · Basic Life Support (BLS) · Experience: Must have a minimum of three years experience in general/specialty area within the last three years · Medical/Surgical RN · Long Term Care/Nursing Home RN · Operating Room RN · Emergency Department RN · Intensive Care Unit RN · Dialysis RN · Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Electrophysiology RN · U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen. · English Language Requirement: Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers. · Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract. DUTIES: · RN will deliver a broad range of nursing care in the context of disease or injury prevention, health promotion and restoration and health maintenance. · Deliver/demonstrate fundamental, knowledge-based care, while developing and increasing technical competencies to provide and plan nursing care for patients with simpleor complex needs. HOURS: · Varies depending on position SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
