Responsibilities:• Rebuild plate and frame heat exchangers• Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges• Test and calibrate ammonia equipment• Maintain tools and machinery to ensure they are kept in safe and usable condition• Maintains records of accurate preventive maintenance• Ability to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make quick decisions• Adhere to company workplace standards by keeping work area clean• Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines or to respond to emergencies as needed• Compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and company requirements• Keeping abreast of new developments in refrigeration technology to assess their potential application to current and future projects• All positions are safety-sensitive Qualifications:• Ability to determine root cause, troubleshoot and correct technical issues using problem-solving techniques in a timely and effective manner• Previous experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems required, or Freon systems• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Must be able to work well within a team but also motivated when working as an individual• Prompt, punctual, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service skills• Able to live and work in a multicultural environment Compensation: $100,000+ DOE About Company: SMSI is dedicated to providing the highest quality mechanical services performed in an honest, dependable, and efficient manner.
