JOB TITLE : Recreation Worker (Part-time) DEPARTMENT: Health CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt CATEGORY : Essential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet members and guests and direct them to appropriate area Answer phones and handle facility information requirements Maintain cleanliness of front desk and surrounding areas Interact with members and guests Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate critical thinking skills and resourcefulness when handling problems that may occur. Reporting complaints, maintaining records and enforcing rules Being able to multi-task during high traffic operating hours Sell merchandise, memberships Communicate effectively with staff, members and guests Be a team player Maintain confidentiality Provide comfortable and inviting experience for members and guests Willing to work various hours including weekends Provide tours of the facility as requested Gym supervision Fitness equipment orientations Set up/tear down activities as determined Recreation Coordinator Assist with various programmatic activities Ongoing cleaning of facility and wiping down equipment Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. Two years of work experience with one year in customer service Administrative or clerical experience a plus Customer service, organizational, and time management skills Must respect Meskwaki cultural beliefs. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in PC word processing, Excel spreadsheet, Internet and email Prefer cash handling experience Must be able to meet and communicate with the public Must submit to and successfully complete background investigation. SUPERVISION: Supervised by the Recreation Coordinator SALARY LEVEL: Annual Salary Range: $33,280 - $37,356 Applicants will be required to submit to a background check and to a pre-employment drug test.
