Recertification Specialist

AAMCI is recruiting individuals who are experienced with HUD Section 8 and Tax credit LIHTC programs to add to our Certification Team at a 500-unit property located in Dayton, OH. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Creekside Townhomes is an affordable housing community with HUD Section 8 rent subsidy as well as Tax Credits LIHTC. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Verify income, assets, household composition and allowable expenses Prepare initial, annual, and interim certifications for assigned residents maintaining full compliance with HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit LIHTC regulations EIV record keeping and follow-up Maintain resident files in accordance with AAMCI policy and procedures Data entry and correspondence Qualifications necessary for success: Ability to meet strict deadlines Minimum of 1 year HUD Section 8 certification experience (required) Tax Credit LIHTC certification experience (preferred) High level of organizational skills Ability to calmly handle difficult situations Work and interact effectively with others Yardi Voyager experience (preferred) Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or other affordable housing regulatory certification (preferred) Benefits include medical insurance, company paid employee dental insurance, vision insurance, long-term disability, and life insurance. In the 401(k) plan, employees are eligible after completing one year of employment and reaching an entrance date of January 1 or July 1.
