The Quality Manager will oversee the quality program at a fast-growing aerospace and defense manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards while driving process improvements. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement positions them as a key player in the aerospace and medical equipment sectors.DescriptionKey Responsibilities include: Lead the quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Shop Incident Reports (SIR) systems. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers. Support on-time delivery through timely completion of quality assurance documentation. Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to document and implement quality plans. Facilitate training and certification for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspections and personnel. Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce quality issuesProfileThe successful Quality Manager will have the following: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of five years in quality management within aerospace or defense manufacturing. Quality Standards Knowledge: Proficient in ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance and audits. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of defense contracts, FAR clauses, and military inspections. Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive approach with Six Sigma and root cause corrective action training. Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading teams and driving quality improvement initiatives. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization. Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
