Our Somersworth, NH location is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Quality Engineer, ContiTech Thermopol LLC, Somersworth, NH: Design and develop integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Responsible for Quality Management System and document control. Lead the re-certification and surveillance audit process to maintain company certificates. Maintain management system in conformity with IATF 16949, company and customer requirements through the planning and realization of annual audits and the planning of system, process and layered process audits. Follow-up on corrective actions related to internal and external audit in QSI system database. Ensure procedures, work instructions, forms prepared by specialized departments are in accordance with applicable policies. Collaborate with departments in the document archival process, including reviewing Direct Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) studies to assure effective gauge implementation and improvement. Plan and carry out trainings for all personnel regarding quality system and new requirements from standards, customers, modification, or internal. Oversee departments Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports and collect and prepare the data. Implement continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system. Provide expertise in SPC (Statistical Process Controls) concepts including process stability, capability, and reaction to statistically out of control situations. Monitor department activities, demonstrate tools, equipment, and work aids used in performing quality assurance tasks and ensure headcount is aligned properly between the departments. Support new product introduction and investigation activities including review of failure mode and effects analysis and initial control plans, including participation in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning). Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Engineering (any), Operations Management, Quality Systems or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Planning quality assurance systems for an automotive company; Using statistical methods for problem solving, root cause analysis, verification of effectiveness in implementation of corrective actions and process capabilities; Leading and administrating document control systems, including implementation and continued oversight; and Analyzing management review and KPI development in order to implement continual improvement activities. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 through internal audit program; Using Quality Tools including APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, and MSA; Overseeing a Quality Management system; and Solving quality assurance problems using a structured problem-solving methodology and overseeing CAPA (corrective and preventative action) implementations. Certification: Must have IATF 16949 and VDA 6.5 Product Audit certifications or be able to gain both certifications within 1 year of start date.
