We use only real ingredients No seed oils, artificial flavors, or other fake ingredients, and make everything in Lebanon, NJTitle: Quality Assurance TechnicianReports to: Plant ManagerLocation: Lebanon, NJCompensation: $45,000 $90,000 depending on experience Role Overview:We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Technician experienced in food manufacturing. This role is critical to our team s success in establishing the best-in-class food safety programs. As a QA Technician, you will ensure a product or service meets the established standards of quality control including reliability, usability, and performance.Responsibilities:MonitoringMonitor and administer sampling procedures for recording and reporting quality data, including swabbing and care of sterile samplingMonitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality as directed by the manager. Ensure all calibrations on equipment are maintained and up to datePerform daily, weekly, and monthly quality checks, SQF (GFSI), GMP Standards, and sanitation schedules with assistance from the Manufacturing Manager and LeadsObserve habits and work of the production team and communicate feedback effectivelyEstablish and implement quality assurance policies and procedures, suggest continuous improvements, and assist the Plant Manager with 6S methodology and lean manufacturing initiatives.Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements around Good Manufacturing PracticesDocumentingAssist in documenting internal audits and other quality assurance programsCollect and compile statistical quality dataContribute to the document management systemsAnalyze data to identify areas for improvementPrepare QA reportsPrint customer-specific labels and perform label reconciliation and verificationsImplement documentation and work with consultants to ensure documentation is ready for audit.CollaboratingDevelop, recommend, and monitor preventative and corrective actionsMaintain all internal and external KPIsInvestigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues; assist in corrective actions as neededCoordinate and support tasks and program building for team on-site auditsMeet weekly with managers, consultants, and team to align on direction and communicationQualifications:Proficient in both written and verbal communication, English &Spanish is required!Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QASwabbing and care of sterile samplingKnowledge of quality monitoring and testing in food manufacturingExperience with the implementation of corrective action programsAbility to manage personnel and work with managers, team members, and leadership on timelines, efficiencies within work hours, and deadlines of all personnelBachelor's degree, and or relevant industry experienceBe willing to continue certifications as part of your job description; HACCP, PCQI, SQF, and GMP StandardsPreferred Qualifications:Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong initiativeCapable of thriving in a fast-paced work environmentPrevious hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageousHighly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; effective team player with the ability to work independently as neededInterest in the packaged natural foods industryAdept at anticipating needs and managing shifting prioritiesPassion for and knowledgeable about health/wellness/fitness desiredPerks:Be a core member of a small, focused, innovative teamHealth Stipend available3 Weeks of Paid Time OffExposure to the food industry working with nationally recognized clientsOpportunity for advancementDaily chip tasting on current and new productsA relaxed, friendly, and collaborative atmosphere
