Description:
The Quality Control (QC) Scientist will review nonregulated nonclinical and clinical study reports and data analysis plans as designated, in accordance with relevant SOP(s). Good organizational skills are essential, as this position requires managing QC review of reports in multiple stages (e.g. initial QC review, confirmation of QC actions, preparing QC review report) supporting multiple projects concurrently. Performs QC proofreading and data accuracy checks of scientific reports within the Veeva Sub Hub EDMS Provides feedback to report author(s) Prepares QC review reports documenting observations made during QC review and upload to Veeva Tracks QC tasks identifies, develops, refines, and disseminates QC process improvements. Maintains current knowledge if industry trends and best practices for regulatory and scientific writing. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BS/MS/ degree or equivalent in Life Sciences or related discipline. At least 5 years relevant industry experience as a medical writer/clinical editor/QC specialist in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environment. Must be adept in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat and willing to learn new software as needed. Must have a good grasp of medical terminology. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, and analytical critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail related to consistency, grammar, syntax, and formatting. Experience with Share Point and Veeva Vault or similar EDMS is a plus.
