The e123 SaaS platform is a wide-ranging application built in ColdFusion. Clients in the insurance space use the platform for enrollment, policy administration, billing and numerous other functions. They typically refer to the platform as their “backoffice” since it performs most of the functions needed by insurance companies and is typically a mission critical core system. As such, the application is complex and requires attention to detail in order to modify and develop. The QA Lead will work with the Director of Development and others on the team to help establish processes for reviewing code before going into production. They will also surface any recurring issues that they identify back to the development team in order to prevent them from recurring. Additionally, they will be reviewing certain aspects of the existing system that require more intense examination to ensure a smooth-functioning platform. Responsibilities: Perform smoke testing, integration testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing for newly developed code updates. Working with existing staff, examine code in production to spot potential problem areas. Implement code updates to remediate any issues. Work with the Director of Development to establish, develop and implement test methods and techniques. Participate in all dev team group activities Required Skills & Experience: 3+ years of ColdFusion development experience Experience in a QA role, either full- or part-time in a ColdFusion-oriented team Experience with related technologies: MS-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX. Experience in a SaaS, B2B environment is preferred, but not required Critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to take initiative to proactively provide solutions. Attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving company and industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with JIRA or a similar ticketing system is a plus. College degree preferred Powered by JazzHR
