BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Prototype Development Configuration Management Principal Analyst for our Combat Mission Systems team.We prefer this position be located at our location in Sterling Heights, MI or Minneapolis, MN sites. Other sites or remote work may be considered for well qualified candidates.As a Prototype Development Configuration Management Principal Analyst, you will: Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate Change Management and Bill of Material (BOM) efforts in support of multiple developmental projects in accordance with BAE Systems guidelines and U.S. Government specifications; execute assigned programs within cost and schedule constraints. Establish, maintain, and promote good customer relationships. Serve as a consultant to Management and interact with senior partners on significant technical matters requiring coordination between functional disciplines. Provide oversight and maintenance of Technical Data relationships in PLM environment Create, maintain, and oversee Technical Data and Bill of Materials (including design/engineering BOM and the as-planned manufacturing BOM) Create and maintain BOM baselines during the design and development phase of a project Support BOM audits Develop and maintain metrics Support creation of proposal BOMs and planning efforts Develop and provide training on CM and BOM activities to program teams Support creation and routing of engineering order requests to initiate procurement activitiesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 10 years' relevant work experience Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing BOMs within an ERP system and engineering BOMs within a PLM system Configuration Management experience with specific focus on change management and configuration control board processes Knowledge of Configuration Management Standards, including industry CM standard EIA-649 and / or military standards MIL-HDBK-61 / MIL-STD-31000 Basic knowledge of design engineering, manufacturing, material planning, production planning, and purchasing, and knowledge of their relationship to BOM management Knowledge of how to read and interpret engineering drawings and configuration change documentation Experience makings decisions, developing solutions to complex problems, and working without appreciable direction Experience participating and contributing on a cross-functional team Effective written and oral communication Applied knowledge of the MS Office Suite Applications with a heavy focus on schedule and planning, metrics, comparison functions and data analysis, project actions and risk tracking Attention to detail, good time management, and organizational skills May consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a more senior rolePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills College degree Experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle ASCP for BOM management Experience with Windchill EPDM for BOM management NDIA/ CMPIC/ IpX Configuration Data Management (CDM) Certification Experience in Defense Industry Experience reviewing defense contracts for Configuration and Data Management requirements Experience in Project Management, especially action tracking, schedule planning and maintenance, and cross functional communication and coordination of driving open actions to closure Working knowledge in US Army and Marine Corp product development, processes and standards pertaining to engineering Experience with Design Engineering Standards, including ASME Y14.100 Experience in Lifecycle Management (LCM) Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) Advanced Excel techniques, including complex formulasPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
