Description:
Riggs Industries is looking for a Project Manager who will report to the VP of Engineering to support the construction businesses of Riggs Industries including Lincoln Contracting and Equipment, Somerset Steel Erection, and James A. Redding Company. The Project Manager coordinates a portfolio of construction projects for the engineering department. These projects include engineering design, modeling, and detailing to support fabrication and installation schedules. This role manages work performed internally by coworkers and outside vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations. Demonstrates competency in the duties and responsibilities of a project manager in a design or construction field. Has a broad understanding of commercial and industrial construction and a familiarity with engineering subjects related to mechanical and structural design, construction, and manufacturing. Has familiarity with commercial buildings and bulk material handling equipment. Experience with construction management software, particularly Viewpoint. Is organized and detail-oriented to balance multiple projects and deadlines. Communicates well, works well in a team environment, and manages multiple responsibilities and deadlines. Meet with internal and external customers to maintain communication on work scope, and project progress, and address customer needs. Accountable for quality of work and project schedule of the whole team. Tracks performance and maintains key goals and deadlines. Observe and comply with all safety rules, including the use of PPE. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or Engineering Technology (E.T.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, customers, and the public. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Project Management software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
