Position Summary: The primary objectives of the Project Manager are to drive positive project outcomes and secure stakeholder satisfaction. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, report, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within the budget. This includes acquiring resources and orchestrating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Agile or waterfall project methodology may be used dependent on the requirements of the project. Essential Job Duties: Executing and Reporting (50%): Facilitates project meetings and brainstorming sessions. Maintains current project details within portfolio reporting. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project. Identifies and manages project dependencies, critical path, issues, and provides summarized project plan documentation to departmental managers, clients and other stakeholders as needed. Ensures requirements documentation and requirements tracking are incorporated into the project. Manages changes in scope, budget, and timeline in accordance with the internal policy and procedures. Engage in continual learning to remain abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging standards. Execute other role duties as assigned Defines project scope, hard deadlines, budget, goals, deliverables, organization, and communication structure in collaboration with the project owner and internal and third-party stakeholders. Planning: Time (40%): Develops full-scale project plans to include but not limited to project charter, project request, project schedule, and milestones using appropriate tools and according to the project methodology best suited for the project. Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve projects. Identifies risks and develops mitigating Closure and Team Development (10%): Conducts project retrospectives with project team and stakeholders to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Manages the tracking and reporting of project benefits post- project. Participates in the continuous improvement of organizational project standards, practices and tools. Provides guidance for other individuals who manage projects. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Five or more years of direct work experience in a project management capacity. Prior work experience in the financial/credit union and banking industry preferred. Experience managing medium to large-scale projects with medium to high degrees of complexity. Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position. Other Skills: Minimum experience, technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position: Competent and efficient in the use of productivity tools such as MS Word, Excel, Visio, and OneNote Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Monday.com, or other commercially available tools Demonstrated ability to lead and drive work across cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to partner and influence team members and stakeholders with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Experience leveraging Third-Party vendor project teams and resources to achieve successful project outcomes. Previous project leadership at Financial Institution(s) or demonstrated capabilities and aptitude for leading projects in multiple industries preferred Gathering Analysis or Business Process Analysis preferred Previous experience in business system/technology upgrade or replacement projects and in implementation of personalization or digitalization technologies preferred. Experience managing Request for Proposal (RFP) is preferred. ADA Requirements: Physical Requirements: Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from prolonged work at the computer. Individuals must be able to travel locally at times to complete applicable assignments, projects, and training. Deadlines, workloads, and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels. Working Conditions: Internal - work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is extremely limited. The noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.) No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings Mental and/or emotional requirements: Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
