A Seattle-based general contractor specializing in remodeling seeks a skilled, experienced Project Manager to join our team. This person is a motivated, honest, and reliable individual and who will bring professionalism and their work experience to our company. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and remodeling, with at least 5 years of specific experience in project management for residential remodels. Additional experience in green or sustainable building practices is advantageous. Job Description: As a Project Manager at Model Remodel, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and support projects from inception to successful completion. This includes closely monitoring project costs against the original budget, generating financial performance reports, facilitating and negotiating subcontractor contracts, assisting with material procurement, and overseeing invoice and schedule management. The Project Manager maintains open and fluid communication channels among all project participants and resolves risk factors efficiently and cost-effectively. Job Requirements: Communicate effectively and establish good working relationship with other team members, while fostering positive relationships with clients, designers and architects, subcontractors, and vendors. Oversees successful production of multiple projects. Participate in pre-production through post-production process. Track budget and provide financial projections. Provide client meeting reports and updated project status regularly. Create and manage construction schedules. Responsible for quality control. Keep up to date on industry trends and developments. Prior experience working with project management software, MS Office Suite, smartphones, etc. Ability to work independently. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Must be able to work at computer or desk area for extended periods of time. Must be able to use a computer and see color. Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel within King County. Why Model Remodel?
