The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in drafting and negotiating principal financing documentation, with a focus on project finance transactions.Duties:Draft and negotiate principal financing agreements and related documentation for project finance transactions.Conduct legal, due diligence, and review project documentation, identifying critical legal issues and risks.Provide legal advice and support to clients on project finance matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate successful project finance transactions.Manage and oversee junior legal staff involved in project finance matters.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.5-8 years of experience practicing law, strongly emphasizing project finance.Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex financing agreements and legal documents.Experience conducting legal, due diligence, and reviewing project documentation is preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice.Certifications:Certification or specialization in project finance law (preferred).Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research and analysis tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
