Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is looking for a dynamicProject Engineerwho will have a positive impact on our hands on engineering staff. TheProject Engineerwill provide general engineering support which include capital projects, engineering design, equipment specifications/diagnostics, process system review, trouble shooting and project management responsibility including budgets and scheduling. The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Carries out varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.: Ability to problem solve using a combination of standard methodologies, processes and procedures acquires and/or developed in previous assignments or best practices.: Participates in planning and/or preparation of technical electrical and mechanical specs for internal review to achieve prescribed objectives.: Ability to perform technical bid analysis and make purchase recommendations.: Prepares or assist in the preparation of detailed designs including calculations and finished drawings and/or the review of vendor drawings for conformance to specifications.: Ability to complete cost estimates and project schedules as well as ensure the timeliness in the completion of projects of high quality within budget.: Familiarity with computerized methods of design is essential.: Cradle to grave project management including scoping, estimation, design, project submittal, procurement, construction, commissioning, equipment trials, testing, process development, generation of operating procedures, and training of operations/maintenance.: Support Projects in Satellite Plants across the country.
