Practice Area: Construction/Developer - Agreements & Transactions,Construction - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm is seeking a Project Development Counsel with a robust background in project development within the renewable energy or oil gas sectors, or extensive construction experience, particularly with large-scale infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in renewable energy, energy storage, and power generation technologies. The candidate can focus exclusively on renewable energy and energy transition transactions or participate in a broader range of energy and infrastructure projects.Job DetailsLead the development of renewable and conventional energy projects, including wind, solar, LNG, and nuclear.Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction agreements, equipment procurement agreements, and other development contracts.Negotiate and draft engineering, procurement, and construction agreements.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in project development and finance law.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and colleagues in various specialty areas such as tax, regulatory, and real estate.Provide representative experience with clients in the renewable energy market on matters including project development (offtake, procurement, and construction) and/or project finance specific transactions.Apply law firm project finance experience, preferably in a sophisticated national law firm environment.RequirementsMinimum of 4+ years of experience in construction, procurement, and project development.Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and drafting engineering, procurement, and construction agreements.Strong understanding of industry trends and project development and finance law.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and manage multiple projects.Experience with renewable energy market clients and transactions related to project development and/or project finance is advantageous.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active Bar membership in Missouri or eligibility to become licensed in Missouri.CertificationsAdmission to the Bar in Missouri or eligibility to become licensed in Missouri.SkillsExcellent negotiation and drafting skills.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.Team player with a collaborative work approach.LocationSaint Louis, MOBenefits OfferedCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Collaborative and inclusive work environment.Exposure to a diverse range of high-profile clients and projects.Collaboration across a global team on innovative, complex, and challenging projects.
