Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join us as we continue to grow!The Project Coordinator works closely with vendors, suppliers, and Sub Contractors in the Commercial Construction Industry as well as colleagues on his/her team. The position offers the opportunity to learn and gain experience working with Estimators, Project Managers, and Business Development in a commercial construction company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set-up bid solicitations by following the bid set-up checklist procedure provided for each Generate and distribute “Instructions to Bidders” for Subcontractors/Suppliers Solicit Subcontractors, Vendors proactively and in a persistent manner by telephone, email and MYC's invitation to bid online system. Correspond and work with these entities during pre-bid, bid, and post bid processes which may include answering phones and emails Manage Subcontractor/Vendor/Supplier Prequalification applications and Prequalification process including Subcontractor database Work closely with Safety Manager to manage Subcontractor Safety Prequalification including review/approval, filing and renewal Maintain bid documents on the MYC server as well as on the online system. Continue to manage the documents on the MYC server and on the online system throughout the implementation of the project and after award, (i.e., CCD's, ASI's) Prepare bid forms, bid bonds, and bid envelopes and any other piece of documentation required for submitting any and all bids Communicate in a timely manner to all bid stakeholders in regard to upcoming, acceptance and submitted bids, etc. Work with Chief Estimator to arrange MYC pre‐bid attendees Obtain bid documents for all scopes of work; GC, refrigeration, concrete, plumbing, electrical (including self‐perform work, whether bidding separately or with GC) Download, upload and order plans in a timely manner. Electronic plan distribution via online system to suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors. Communicate to receptionist appropriate distribution of phone calls and bids to MYC's estimating team during bid as well as bid results Notify Subcontractors when projects are not awarded to MYC Prepare bid forms, bid bonds, and bid envelopes and any other piece of documentation required for submitting any and all bids Qualifications & Requirements: Ability to type 50 wpm accurately. Ability to use a personal computer to perform word processing and spreadsheets, e-mail applications and internet activity, (i.e., google). Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer are required. Ability to take direction from multiple team members. Superior phone skills, polite and professional at all times. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing with managers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors. Ability to drive company vehicle for bid/plan/information delivery. Basic understanding of Construction plans, specifications, bidding processes.
