The Production Line Supervisor is a member of the plant leadership team and plays a key role in providing management and leadership to deliver business results and operational improvements. Under direction of the Plant Shift Supervisor, the Line Supervisor is responsible for;-- The day-to-day manufacturing operations for an assigned area and shift-- Achieving daily production, yield loss and labor cost targets-- Maintaining a safe work environment by developing, implementing and promoting safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in plant safety teams, programs and initiatives-- Providing clear direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.-- Promoting sound employee relations within the department by developing and maintaining an effective organization with qualified personnel.Develops, promotes, and supports continuous improvement and other cross-functional initiatives with maintenance, quality and procurement team members.Maintains product quality food safety standards by adhering to and enforcing established organization standards including; Product Specifications, GMP's, Food Safety Standards and general safety policies.Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques and providing training for all equipment operators and line workers.Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, GMP's, Food Safety standards, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.----Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:o Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement and Production Labor Plan Implementation
