Production Associate Location : Arthur, IL Schedule : 3rd Shift - Sunday through Wednesday, 7:45 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. Pay Rate : $18.00/hr Summary: This position is responsible for safely and efficiently assembling major components, handling materials and products, meeting production goals, and maintaining quality standards and team objectives. The role involves various tasks within the Assembly department including wrap areas, saw operator, door hanger, drawer build, and builder functions. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Assembly and construction of products. Operating and cleaning machines. Using hand tools: nail gun, screw gun, clamp, staple gun, etc. Reading and completing standard build lists. Loading, unloading, and stacking materials and product on and off carts and pallets. Meeting production goals and maintaining safety and quality standards. Rotating positions as required. Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor. Preferred Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of procedures for safe and proper handling of hazardous chemicals and materials. Understanding of decimal/fraction/metric calculation and conversion. Knowledge of product and raw material involved in manufacturing. General Requirements: Read, write, comprehend, and follow all written and verbal departmental instructions. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, prioritizing safety. Follow all established safety practices and procedures, including understanding material and safety data sheets, lockout policy, and entanglement policy. Meet, maintain, or exceed quality standards. Maintain and promote a positive attitude, teamwork, and cooperation. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to wood dusts and related materials. Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate-controlled environment. Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection. Sensory/Physical Requirements: Sensory: Frequent speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision, and touch. Physical: Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion, and extension. Frequent changes in torso/back position, stooping, bending, and twisting. Frequent finger dexterity. Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp, and wrist flexion. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and climbing of stairs and ramps. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive-motion tasks for the duration of the working shift.
