Practice Area: Litigation - Mass Torts - Defense,Product Liability Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, Job Overview: A law firm specializing in product liability and mass torts seeks a dedicated Product Liability And Mass Torts Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing complex cases involving product manufacturers across various industries, participating in high-stakes litigation, and contributing to trial strategy and execution.Job Duties:Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to product liability and mass tort cases.Assist in all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and conducting depositions.Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial tactics.Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as part of trial teams.Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar (local Bar admission in Chicago).3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably focusing on product liability and mass torts.Experience managing discovery and trial preparation at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.Strong legal research skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues.Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, demonstrated through writing samples and moot court or trial experience.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to case management and client service.Preferred Skills:Experience handling multidistrict litigation (MDL) and class action lawsuits.Familiarity with relevant state and federal laws about product liability and mass torts.Proficiency in legal technology and e-discovery tools.Job Location: Chicago, IL The law firm is an Am Law 100, Global 30, white-shoe American international corporate law firm.
