Summary The Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for strategic procurement, purchasing/buying oversight, and continuous performance improvement in strategic supplier partnerships, inventory/working capital, cost savings, quality, and service to meet operating group business objectives. Responsibilities * Strategic Procurement leader that collaboratively develops and executes the IFC procurement strategy including supplier partnering and management, inventory strategies, buying protocol/oversight. * Works in partnership mode with + sales/business leaders for demand forecast, brand operations and buyers Supply & Inventory Operations (SIOP) processes to drive and provide oversight on IFC purchasing/buying and right sized inventory/working capital levels to strategic KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). + Finance on Price, Discounts, Rebates, Consignment, or other supplier initiatives. + Quality on Quality Management System, QA/QC incoming, outbound rigor, and supplier performance. + As leader and point of contact for key IFC strategic suppliers, partners with Legal counsel on contracts, terms & conditions. * As a key IFC leader, shares in Operating Group Financial, Operations, Quality & Safety SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-based) Goals & Objectives. * Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the Business across multiple brands. * Develop a thorough understanding of the product and process flow. Be able to identify bottlenecks and lead root cause investigations to address and resolve issues that may hinder the smooth flow of materials and products through the supply chain. * Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers. * Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company. * Obtaining quotes, negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers. * Collaborating with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation. * Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns. * Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes. * Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing. * Report savings in an analytical manner. * Working in business ERP software to manage procurement records. * Collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Implement strategies to reduce obsolescence and reduce carrying costs. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance scheduling decisions, improve process efficiency, and reduce lead times. * Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries. * Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production. * Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages. * Supervising purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary. Authority * Authorized to purchase company inventory aided by business enterprise system analysis. * Authorized to return inventory to suppliers for quality and overstock reasons. * Authorized to refuse supplier shipments on behalf of the company for any reason. * Authorized to adjust inventory item balances after sufficient research and process evaluation; Accounting and VP notification required based on manager's discretion. * Authorized to adjust supplier payments after research and reconciliation. Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required. * +5 Years Procurement experience required. * Inventory planning systems experience required. * Position might require travel to various locations in the supply chain ( * Lean Six Sigma / Operational Excellence experience preferred. * APICS certification is preferred.
