Position Summary:The Policy Processing Representative is responsible for efficiently processing policy-related transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role reviews and verifies policy applications, endorsements, and cancellations, inputting data accurately into computer systems, and issuing policy documents to clients. They handle inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information on policy-related matters. They assist with underwriting tasks, such as assessing risk factors and calculating premiums.Location:Hunt Valley - MarylandWhat will your job entail?Responsibilities: * Processes new insurance applications and issues policies to clients, reviews applications, verifies underwriting information, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulations. * Processes policy endorsements and amendments, handles requests for policy changes, updates coverage limits, beneficiary information, or other policy details. * Processes policy cancellations as requested by policyholders or as required by company policies or regulatory guidelines. * Calculates and issues policyholders' premiums, refunds, and adjustments, and completes recordkeeping and data entry to maintain accurate client information. * Manages the renewal process for existing policies, sends renewal notices to policyholders, processes renewal payments, and updates policy terms as needed. * Maintains accurate policy records and documentation including organizing and filing policy documents, endorsements, amendments, and other related paperwork. * Handles premium payments from policyholders, processes payments, and ensures accurate recording of payment transactions. * Performs quality checks on policy documents and processes activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and procedures. * Ensures compliance with insurance regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all policy processing activities. * Collaborates with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams, to facilitate smooth policy processing and address any issues or concerns that may arise.Work Experience: * Minimum of 1 year of experience in Insurance Policy Operations, Customer Service, or other related work experience.Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent.Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
