ABOUT THE ROLE As a Process SafetyEngineer, you will be accountable to the HSE Manager, and be responsible forprocess safety and operational safety functions for the Chicagoland region: DesPlaines Campus including R&D and Riverside and McCook facilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the Mechanical Integrity/Reliability Engineering program for two R&D sites and one chemical manufacturing siteLead/participate in hazard reviews and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews of lab, pilot plant and manufacturing activitiesReview changes to lab, pilot plant and manufacturing activities for impact on process safetyConduct participate in audits of process safety activities, including annual self assessment tool and RC 14001 Audits; develop / implement action plans to address audit findings when neededLead / participate in investigations of process-related incidentsWork with Pilot Plant Engineering Design and Construction group to help develop engineering design standards related to process safety systemsWork with other members of the Chicago area HSE Team to help share best practices across sitesThe annual base salary range for this position is $84,000 to $104,900. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
