Job Summary The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of pharmaceutical products. This role requires a thorough understanding of process engineering principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Process Design and Development: Design and develop manufacturing processes for new and existing pharmaceutical products. Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues. Validation and Compliance: Develop and execute process validation protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all process-related activities. Project Management: Lead and manage process engineering projects from conception through implementation. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project completion. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary equipment and services. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on new and existing processes. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with process design, development, and optimization in a GMP-regulated environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus, MATLAB). Strong understanding of process control principles and methodologies. Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management and organizational skills.
