Please note that Publix Associate Services will not sponsor any hire for this position for an H-1B visa or permanent residence. Description: Join the Publix Technology BASE24 Development team! As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a key role in helping to modernize and develop solutions that provide critical functionality across teams and enterprises. In this role, you will primarily design and develop solutions around BASE24 to assist in support of payment processing at Publix. Responsibilities: Code and test complex in-house and externally developed payments applications Perform problem determination and resolution for complex problems. Analyze root cause by researching current application logs, then designing and testing a solution Create, debug, document, and configure packages. Maintain system components and user and technical documentation for new and existing programs based on provided programming specifications. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience 9+ years of software engineering experience 9+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications. 1 year of experience with BASE24-eps Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience Experience working in a HP Non-stop / Tandem environment. Experience developing with TAL, TACL, C++ Experience with a migration to BASE24-eps Experience with DevOps tools and best practices Experience working in a Payment Card Industry (PCI) audited environment. Knowledge of message-based testing tools such as VersaTest Experience with GoldenGate and replication Frequency of Pay: Monthly Potential Annual Pay with Bonus: $147,810 - $221,910 Year End Bonus: As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix Associate Services issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
