The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $111,544 to $160,345 Job Description Job Summary This position will play a leading role on a team utilizing global best practices to develop a Regulatory Compliance Center of Excellence across its business operations. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of a company-wide policy management system, develop and enforce consistent policy workflows, and develop common standards for the company's policy practices including drafting, approvals, dissemination, revision, and termination. After implementation, the role will transition to administering the system, enforcing policy standards and workflows, and ensuring that designated users within the company are maintaining policies in compliance with standards. Continuous improvement efforts will also be prioritized to ensure that policy and procedure management at the company supports a culture of regulatory compliance and quality. Implementation responsibilities will include developing workplans for teams to inventory and update policies, adopt use of the policy management tools, and drive employee awareness and use of the system. Ongoing administrative responsibilities will include drafting standards and templates based on policy and procedure best practices, working with stakeholders and vendors to ensure the best possible experience for policy management system users, developing and reporting dashboards and metrics to ensure that policy management goals are met, and facilitating campaigns to distribute and drive awareness of policies and procedures. Awareness and adoption of emerging technologies and practices will be part of this role. Responsibilities may expand to supporting other activities such as communications, training, and compliance audits. The position will play a key role working with multiple departments to ensure the business remains compliant with the multitude of regulations that the company faces.This position reports to the Avangrid Vice President, Regulatory Compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage the implementation and eventual day-to-day operation of the Company's Policy Governance and Compliance program. Responsible for initiatives impacting the entire organization and the fostering of effective policy and procedure management by all business areas. Serve as a policy governance and management subject matter expert. Provide technical expertise in the company's policy management software platform. Drafting standards and templates for use by internal customers for policies housed in the system. Coordinate and assist designated individuals across the business responsible to ensuring that their department's policies and procedures are easily accessible, effectively communicated, and remain up to date. Ensuring quality control of the system. Advising operational and regulatory personnel on policy management and documentation best practices to support compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Provide trainings to system users, delivering presentations to business areas and troubleshooting the system. Creating and maintaining collaborative relationships with all business areas and Avangrid leadership. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications BS/BA or post-graduate degree in relevant discipline including (but not limited to) fields of audit, business administration, information governance, project management, and regulatory compliance or eight years of relevant work experience. Eight or more years of experience in information governance or administration, policy management, compliance or quality control, preferably in the energy & utility industry. Experience managing projects involving large groups in change management across a matrixed organization. Experience providing technical and administrative support as the subject matter expert to software platform users and super-users, including troubleshooting, trainings, and analyzing system activity by accountable departments accountable to ensure compliance with established processes and quality standards. Experience maintaining, updating, and continuously improving large databases and workflow management systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, Workday, PolicyTech). Experience ensuring quality control and advising operational and regulatory personnel on policy management and documentation best practices to support compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on clear and concise writing and presentation of data using common office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and advanced project management and analytics tools such as MS Project Manager and PowerBI. This position requires a high level of interaction and relationship-building with various Avangrid departments at all levels. This will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, persistence, and the ability to advocate effectively and work independently. Strong IT and business tool literacy, including familiarity with information governance and document management tools and the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems, databases, tools, and methods. Superior attention to deadlines, detail, and accuracy, with the ability to proofread technical documents to ensure compliance with policy templates and quality standards. Ability to prepare informative and visually creative presentations and reports, e.g., incorporating statistics, graphics, and charts. Pro-active and diligent approach to project planning and business process design. Must be able to develop and implement tangible business processes based on team-sourced designs and solutions. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification or accredited qualification preferred in project management, internal audit, quality control, or information governance.
