Job Classification: Full-time, at-will, exempt Salary range: $64,480 - $70,000 per annum; commensurate with experience Benefits: Paid Vacation, Holidays & Sick leave; Group Medical, Dental, Vision plans, flexible work schedule, loyalty trips, referral bonuses, room for advancement Children's Choice is a well-established Preschool with locations throughout San Diego County. We are looking for an experienced Center Director to join our growing team. The Director will support our teaching staff, manage day-to-day operations of the school, and report to the senior management team. The ideal candidate will be able to stay calm during stressful situations, can multitask, has excellent verbal and written communications skills, is organized as well as detail oriented, and can effectively promote and articulate the company's values, programs, and vision. Bilingual in Spanish/English, Chaldean/English, or Arabic/English a plus but not required. Responsibilities: Schedule and give tours to interested families, and conduct intake interviews. Create and maintain family files and ensure proper record keeping. Refer and educate families to services and help with applications for subsidized tuition assistance programs (CDA, YMCA, PCG, NACCRRA, etc.) Responsible for tuition billing and collection, including billing and tracking of reimbursements from subsidized programs. Create staff schedule and ensure proper coverage in accordance with licensing rules and regulations. Address any parent, staff, or licensing concerns in a professional manner. Reach goals set by management and adhere to deadlines. Qualifications: Must meet California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 22 qualifications for Child Care Center Director; Title 5 experience preferred Experience with DRDP assessments helpful Must be familiar with CCR Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 Child Care Center General Licensing Requirements rules and regulations and make sure center is compliant. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate Current Mandated Reporter Certificate Pass DSS Background check. Must be proficient in MS Office suite applications and comfortable using technology (computers, tablets, various phone apps) Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Able to work flexible and long hours if needed, including occasional weekends, and evenings. Willing to travel by air to attend company sponsored seminars (approximately four times per year) and able to be away from home up to one week each time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and fill in for any position at the center if necessary, including cook, van driver, and teacher.
