This position is within a Public School and works in collaboration with the school and Head Start. Birth to 5 years Department of Education Certificate required (or eligible to receive one- we will help you apply and pay for it.) Prekindergarten Teacher- Do you have an interest in a career working in Early Education with young children? We are looking for you! Required- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related AND Dept of Education Birth to 5 years (081) certification- or eligible- we will help you apply and pay for the cost Minimum starting Rate of Pay: $24.11/hour $2000.00 Hiring Bonus Annual Performance Merit Bonus Annual Cost of Living Increase Generous Tuition Assistance In addition to the hourly rate below all classroom staff will receive an additional monthly stipend if you are a level 1 or higher in Maine Roads to Quality: Additional Stipend Tier LevelMaine Roads to Quality Registry LevelsMonthly Supplement Amount1Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4$2402Level 5, Level 6$3603Level 7, Level 8$540 Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child? We are searching for Teachers! We currently are looking for:1 Early Head Start Teacher in a 6 hour classroom (40 hours a week) Year Round This position is responsible for infants (6 weeks to 18 months of age) in an Early Head Start setting, developing and administering developmentally appropriate activities and care.1 Head Start Teacher (40 hours a week) Year Round This position is responsible for 3-5 year olds in a Head Start classroom, developing and teaching children, preparing them for kindergarten.Program Overview: Promise Early Education Center is the foremost early learning program in Central Maine that is dedicated to educating the whole child and preparing that child for success in school and opportunity beyond.
