Your Job Georgia-Pacific is now hiring PLC Technician to join our Lumber facility in Rome, GA! Salary: * Our starting pay is at $32.90/hr. up to $39.06/hr. depending on experience. * You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill. Shift: * Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. * The week of orientation will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and you will be assigned your regular shift after your orientation. Shift Hours: Night Shift 6:00p.m.-6:00a.m. Monday-Friday * Program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC5 and ControlLogix PLCs * Program, troubleshoot and maintain AC Variable Frequency Drives * Program, troubleshoot and maintain HMIs and Graphical Displays * Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits. * Maintain, troubleshoot, and replace control devices. * Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair/replace 480 Volt Power Distribution System Components * Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair/replace Electrical Motors * Reading assembly drawings, schematics, and equipment layouts * Work with Supervisors, Maintenance, Engineering and Operations to improve process systems. * Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. What You Will Do Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Process Control Technician or Industrial Automation experience * Experience with programming, troubleshooting and repairs of automations systems. * Experience with troubleshooting/repairing electrical systems. * Strong understanding of VFD's and Servo Drives * Ability to read and interpret technical reports, electrical drawings, and schematics. What Will Put You Ahead * Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Automation, Electrical or Automation technology with 3+ Years of experience * Experience troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatics systems. * Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic systems. * Experience in Lumber Manufacturing At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
